A Degave™ Spirit must be made of only water and agave, be mashed, fermented, distilled to no more than 80% ABV (160 U.S. proof), and be bottled at no less than 40% ABV (80 U.S. proof).

Certification protects our members. The Degave™ Organization regulates that your brand of Degave™ can only be distilled and produced in the United States by distilleries who have been certified by the Degave™ Organization.

For the protection of our members, the Degave™ Organization is in the process of being recognized as a United States Denomination of Origin (D.O.) product which has been distilled exclusively within the United States.
